It was his idea to start the hospital with the aim of providing quality medical services at an affordable coast for the people of Kanhangad and surrounding area. At the time of starting the hospital in the year 1989 in a rented building nearby, patients were bound to depend the hospitals at Mangalore for most of the treatments. With the beginning of the hospital with the vision and leadership of chairman Sri. C. Kunhamed and treatment skill of Dr. K. Kunhahammed and the team of expert doctors, medical & paramedical staff, patient could avail quality treatment without travelling far and spending much money.
Within the span of 7 years in the rented building, the management could build a well equipped hospital building of its own and strarted functioning in own building in the year 1996.

He is the Chief Medical officer & Senior consultant in the obstetrics & gynaecology. More than 1 lack maternity cases have been attended by him. He is always happy to be in service of patients who comes for his treatment. Many of non gynecological patients also approaches and takes advice from him about their health issues.
